Privately Owned Orthodontists in Frisco: The 2026 List by Zip

★ The short version

  • Eleven of the nineteen Frisco orthodontic practices in our directory are privately owned. That is 58%.
  • Plano, next door, is 6 of 20, about 30%. Dallas is 73%. Frisco sits between them.
  • Below is every privately owned Frisco practice we list, grouped by zip, with addresses.
  • Disclosure: two of the eleven are mine. Elate Orthodontics North Frisco and West Frisco. They are also the only practices on this page I link to. More on that below.
  • This is what we have listed, not a census of every orthodontist in Frisco.

Frisco has more privately owned orthodontic practices than any other city in our directory. Eleven of them.

That is partly a coverage artifact, because Frisco is where we started and our listings here are more complete than most places. But the ratio is still interesting: 58% independent, against 30% in Plano twenty minutes south. Two suburbs that look alike from the highway, with quite different ownership mixes underneath.

The disclosure, up front

I am an orthodontist in Frisco. Two of the eleven practices below are mine, and I also own this directory.

They are also the only two practices on this page with a link to their website. Every other practice is listed by name and address with no link. That is a choice I made, it is a commercial one, and you should know about it while you read the list rather than find out later.

What I have not done is change the list. Every privately owned Frisco practice in our directory is on it, in zip order, including the ones that compete directly with me. If I had wanted a marketing page I would have written a different one.

Privately owned orthodontists in Frisco, by zip code

Each practice below is listed in our directory as privately owned, meaning the practice reports that an orthodontist owns it rather than a dental support organization, a corporate group, or an outside investor.

75034 (Central Frisco / Parkwood)

  • Wise-Lee Orthodontics, Frisco, 6960 Parkwood Blvd Suite 100

  • Gandy Orthodontics, Frisco, 6843 Coit Rd Suite 100

75036 (West Frisco / FM 423)

Five of eleven are in one zip

75035 holds five of the eleven, all of them along or near Coit and Eldorado. That is the older, denser part of east Frisco, and it is where most of the established practices sit.

The west side along FM 423 and the north end past 380 have one or two each. Those areas grew later, and in this metro the newer the development, the more of the orthodontics tends to be corporate owned. You can see the same pattern more sharply in Plano.

Practically, if you live in Frisco you are within about fifteen minutes of several independent practices no matter which side you are on. That is not true in most cities we cover, and it is worth knowing that you have a real choice here.

What “privately owned” actually means

It means the practice reports that an orthodontist owns it. Not a dental support organization, not a corporate platform, not an outside investor.

It does not mean better. There are strong orthodontists working inside corporate groups and I would happily send a family member to several of them. What ownership tells you is who sets the schedule, who picks the materials, who decides how long your appointment runs, and who answers when something goes wrong. That is worth knowing before you commit two years to somebody.

Ownership is information, not a verdict.

What this list is not

Nineteen practices is not every orthodontist in Frisco. It is every Frisco orthodontist currently in our directory, and we are still adding. Read the 58% as a statement about what we have verified so far rather than a market census.

Ownership on each listing comes from the practice and from public records, and the listing says so. If your practice is missing, or the ownership on your listing is wrong, tell us and we will fix it. That applies to competitors as much as anyone, and we have corrected listings on request before.

How to check any practice yourself

Read the footer of the website. A corporate group usually shows up in the footer, the privacy policy, or the terms, and almost never on the home page.

Search the practice name with “partners” or “group.” Acquisitions get announced, and the groups put out press releases when they buy a practice.

Ask at the consult. “Who owns this practice?” is a fair question and a straight answer takes five seconds. The longer version is in how to tell whether your local orthodontist is corporate owned.

Related Frisco reading: which Frisco offices are corporate-owned, and why ownership matters when you are choosing here. This page is the list; those two are the background.

Nearby: the same list for Plano and for Dallas. And if you are still working out whether you need an orthodontist or a dentist who offers orthodontics, that is covered here.
